Talbot is a trademark under which passenger cars were manufactured. The company was founded in 1903 by Gustave Adolphe Clément and Charles Chetwynd-Talbot. In 1994, the production of cars under this brand was discontinued.

1. In the beginning, the company bore the name Clément-Talbot as it made cars assembled from French car parts Clément-Bayard. However, soon afterwards, French components were replaced by the British ones and the company name was shortened to Talbot.
2. In the middle of the XX century, cars of the make were considered to be among the most beautiful in the world. The peak of company’s success was in 1930’s–1950’s when it was owned by Italian engineer Antonio Lago. 3. In 1980, Finnish racing driver Henri Toivonen who drove the Sunbeam Lotus won the international Wales Rally GB. This championship was a huge success in motorsport for the company since pilots of the Talbot team also took the third and fourth places. In 1981, a car of the same model won the Manufacturer’s World Championship.
4. The model 14/45 HP developed in 1926 by Swiss engineer Georges Roesch was one of the first cars in the world having turn indicators as standard equipment.
