FORD Fiesta Mk6 Hatchback (JA8, JR8) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
The Ford Fiesta Mk6 JA8 cars are the brand’s sixth generation of 3- and 5-door hatchbacks that were in production between 2008 and 2017. The model was debuted at the International Geneva Motor Show. A stylish exterior, vast equipment list, and many innovative solutions made the model popular internationally. The hatchback was described as, “the best small car”, a “great achievement in the car manufacturing industry”, and a “new class leader” in reviews by reputable magazines such as Motor Trend, Auto Express, and UK's Car Magazine respectively. In 2009 the vehicle was named the “Car of the Year” by What Car? magazine. You can buy spare parts for the Ford Fiesta Mk6 JA8 inexpensively in our online shop. Technical characteristics of the Ford Fiesta Mk6 JA8
This hatchback was 3950 mm long, 1722 mm wide, and 1481 mm high. The luggage compartment capacity varied between 295 and 979 litres. The ground clearance was 155 mm. The vehicle offered enough interior space for the driver and four passengers.
Main editions
47 versions of the Ford Fiesta Mk6 JA8 (2008–2017) were produced, 36 with petrol engines and 11 with diesel engines.
The diesel-powered 1.6 TDCi Econetic was one of the most efficient and eco-friendly versions. Its engine had 95 hp power and 205 N⋅m torque. The hatchback accelerated to 100 km/h in 12.9 seconds. Its maximum speed was 178 km/h, loading capacity – 536 kg. The turbocharger and Common Rail fuel injection system promoted low fuel consumption. It took only 3.2 litres to drive 100 km in extra-urban cycle, 3.6 litres in combined cycle, 4.4 litres in urban cycle. The version was equipped with a particulate filter which lowered the concentration of hazardous exhaust gases.
Econetic editions were the first cars, in which Ford used low-viscous oil. Thinner tyres – a collaboration between Ford and Michelin – were used for greater fuel efficiency as they had a smaller surface area and thus less resistance from the road.
Trim levels of Fiesta Mk6 JA8
Fiesta Mk6 JA8 hatchbacks were produced in different trim levels. Studio, Style, Zetec, Zetec S, Titanium, Titanium X, ST, Trend were the most popular among them.
Titanium trim level, one of the highest, had an anti-lock braking system, brake force distribution, stability control and traction control systems, hill start assist, front and side airbags, adjusted seats with the ability to adjust lumbar support, cruise control, and two-zone climate control, among others.
