Artega sports cars are produced by the same-name German company, established in 2006. The enterprise was founded by Klaus Dieter Frers, a mechanical engineer. The headquarters is located in Delbrück, Germany. In 2012, the company became a part of the automotive electronics manufacturer Paragon AG, which supplies spare parts for Artega. Two electric cars presented in 2015 were the first results of the companies collaboration.

Two Voltabox electric motors with total maximum torque of 780 N·m let the Scalo model accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The car’s top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The sports cars have a mid-engine layout. The GT coupe (2009–2012) was equipped with the VR6 petrol engine produced by the Volkswagen Group. Its displacement was 3,6 litres, output – 300 hp, and maximum torque – 350 N·m. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 4,8 seconds. The top speed was 270 km/h.

The company uses advanced technologies. For example, the SE coupe has a water-cooled battery, and Scalo 2015 model is equipped with lithium-ion battery modules with high-performance capacitors. The manufacturer offers OLED touch screens on the dashboard and the central console. They display data about main car systems. A Hi-Fi audio system with 13 speakers is available as well.
