Spare parts for your car
Rover cars were produced by the namesake British company, founded in 1878. The production facilities were located in Solihull, Warwickshire, Great Britain. The company changed many owners throughout its existence. At various times they were British Aerospace, BMW AG and others. The brand existed until 2005.
Technical specifications of Rover cars
These cars were equipped with high-performance power units. For example, model 75 – executive saloons produced from 1998 to 2005 – had 4.6-litre 250 hp V8 engines. For the X-Power 500 version, the engine power output reached 500 hp. The car accelerateв from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. Its top speed was 250 km/h.
A continuously variable transmission was offered for many vehicles. This unit was supplied by the well-known German company ZF Sachs AG. This gearbox had an external oil cooler which cooled the transmission fluid.
Natural leather and fine wood were used for interior trimming. Some interior elements were chrome-plated. Model 75 saloons, produced in 1998–2005, featured particularly stylish and decorative interior parts for Rover.
The manufacturer used unusual solutions to increase comfort. For instance, the tailgate of the 75 estate car (2001–2005) had a separately opening rear screen. This made transporting long objects easier and helped to load the cargo quicker. This car was designed by specialists from the TWR Design studio: Peter Stevens, who created the exterior of McLaren F1 and Ian Callum, who designed Aston Martin and Jaguar cars.
