Rover 75 saloon (RJ): specifications
The car featured quite significant dimensions. In particular, the length of the body was 4,747 mm, the width was 1,778 mm, and the height was 1,424 mm. The road clearance reached 155 mm. The volume of luggage compartment was 430 l.
Both axles of the car were equipped with brake discs; the front one – with ventilated components. The front suspension was independent, of MacPherson type. The rear one featured Z-Axle suspension arrangement. Such design positively affected the car’s steerability.
Main versions
Over ten versions of the Rover 75 saloon (RJ) were built. Petrol and diesel models were offered. They had a front-wheel or a rear-wheel drive. The car was equipped with a transverse engine.
The most powerful version was petrol 4.6 AT. It was equipped with a 16-valve V8 engine. The power unit produced 260 hp with the maximum torque of 410 N⋅m at 4,000 RPM. The manufacturer offered a base and many extended trim levels like Classic SE, Club, Club SE, Classic T, Classic T SE, Club T, Club T SE, C/Seur SE HLNav, Connoisseur, Connoisseur SE, Five Millionth, Connoisseur T, Connoisseur T SE и C/Seur T SE HLNav. The factory-installed equipment of the Rover 75 saloon (RJ; 1999–2005) included front and side airbags as well as a car alarm. There were front power windows and electric heated side mirrors.
