Rover 45 saloon (RT): specifications
The dimensions of the vehicles remained the same throughout the production run. The length of the body was 4,517 mm, the width was 1,696 mm, and the height was 1,395 mm. The ride height reached 150 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment was 470 l and could be increased up to 810 l with the rear seats folded.
The front axle of the car was equipped with ventilated brake discs. Non-ventilated components were mounted onto the rear axle.
Main versions
They produced six versions of the Rover 45 saloon (RT). There were both petrol and diesel models. All cars had a front-wheel drive.
One of the most popular models was the petrol 1.8 MT version. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder, 16-valve straight engine with a multi-point fuel injection system. The power unit produced 117 hp with a maximum torque of 160 N·m at 2,750 RPM. The top speed of the car was 193 km/h. It accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 9 seconds. The fuel consumption per 100 km was 9 l in the urban cycle, 5 l in the extra-urban cycle and 7 l in the combined cycle.
45 saloon (RT): trim levels
The manufacturer offered a base trim and several extended ones, for example, Spirit S, Classic, Impression S, Olympic Impression S, Club, Connoisseur. The factory-installed equipment of all Rover 45 saloons (1999–2005) had ABS, air conditioning, a car alarm, front and side airbags. There were electric side mirrors and front power windows. They were fitted with front fog lights, headlight washers, heated seats.
The Connoisseur extended trim included alloy wheels, an audio system with a CD player, heated side mirrors, leather-trimmed seats, parking sensors, rear power windows, power sunroof. Cruise control was available for an extra charge.
