Honda Jazz I hatchbacks (AA) technical specifications
The dimensions of the car body were the following: length – 3,380, width – 1,570, height – 1,470 mm. The maximum payload capacity was 382 kg. The luggage compartment volume was 205 liters.
The front axle of the vehicle was equipped with brake discs. The rear axle was equipped with drum brakes. The manufacturer mounted independent suspension on both axles.
Main versions
Honda Jazz I hatchbacks (1983–1986) were offered in three petrol versions. All cars had a front-wheel drive.
The 1.2 MT version was very popular. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder, 8-valve straight carbureted engine. The power unit produced 45 hp with the maximum torque of 82 N·m at 2,500 rpm. The maximum speed of the car was 135 kph. The hatchback accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 16.5 seconds. To cover the distance of 100 km, it consumed 6.4 litres of fuel in the combined cycle.
Jazz I (AA) hatchbacks trim levels
Apart from the base trim R, the manufacturer offered several extended ones. For example, there were R Manhattan, E, U, Hypershift, Pro, Turbo I, Turbo II, Special, Luxe. The Luxe package offered tinted windows, in particular. Rear seats could be folded.
