OPEL Combo C Tour cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
Opel Combo C Tour cars are 5-seat minivans, produced in 2001 - 2011. They debuted at the International Motor Show Germany in Frankfurt am Main. The cars were assembled at the factories in Portugal, later – in Spain. This model shared its platform with Corsa C but was longer and higher. The cabin was spacious, luggage compartment – capacious. The main advantages of these minivans were their versatility, easy maintenance, and an affordable price on components. Technical specifications of Opel Combo C Tour
The minivan was 4,322 mm long, 1,684 mm wide and 1,801 mm high. The luggage compartment capacity varied between 510 and 3,050 litres depending on whether the rear seats were folded. The car could have 4 or 5 doors. The rear door could be a regular one with two leaves or a tailgate opening to the top. The vehicle could have sliding doors on one or both sides.
Road clearance of 160 mm ensured the excellent off-road performance of the vehicle, allowed to drive over kerbs and travel on unpaved roads. The off-road version, Tour Tramp (named Arizona after 2007) had bigger ride height – 180 mm.
The body was fully zinc-coated and featured high corrosion-resistance. Plastic liners ensured extra protection in the most vulnerable areas, such as wheel arches.
Main versions
A total of 15 versions of Combo C Tour (2001–2011) minivan were released over the production years: 9 diesel, 4 petrol and 2 gas versions.
The 1.7 DI MT version was the most reliable. A turbo-diesel power unit, produced by Isuzu, was installed on it. It outputted 65 hp and the torque of 130 N⋅m. The fuel was injected directly into the engine cylinders with the help of a dedicated high-pressure pump. The latter had a simple design and broke down rarely, even when using poor-quality fuel.
At the same time, this version was fuel-efficient. About 6.6 litres were consumed per 100 km of travel in urban cycle, 4.7 litres – in extra-urban cycle, 5.4 litres – in the combined cycle. The loading capacity of the minivan equalled 517 kg. 0 to 100 km/h acceleration took 18.5 seconds. The top speed could reach 147 km/h.
Trim levels of Combo C Tour
