Opel Astra H L48 (2004–2014) was 4,249 mm long, 1,753 mm wide and 1,460 mm high. The luggage compartment capacity varied between 380 and 1,295 litres, depending on whether rear seats were folded. 1.9 CDTI MT was one of the most powerful and dynamic versions. A 4-cylinder 16-valve 150 hp engine with the max torque of 320 N⋅m was installed on it. This 1 240 kg car could reach 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds only. This was made possible by using a turbocharger and Common Rail direct fuel injection system. The top speed of this hatchback was 208 km/h. Despite such characteristics, the vehicle was rather fuel-efficient: 4.9 litres were enough for 100 km in extra-urban cycle, 5.8 – in the combined cycle, 7.4 – in urban conditions. The loading capacity of the car was 475 kg.
Trim levels of Astra H L48
Depending on the target market, Opel Astra H L48 hatchbacks (2004–2014) were available in various trim levels. The most common trim levels were Essentia, Sport, Cosmo, Enjoy.
A car with the Cosmo trim had quite an impressive equipment list for its class: a leather-trimmed multifunctional steering wheel with height and reach adjustment, power steering, CD-player, trip computer, rain sensor, front and side airbags. The following systems could be ordered for an extra charge: Hill Start Assist, Parking Assist, adaptive lighting with automatic headlights shut-off, cruise control. Another option was the IDSPlus system that controls suspension settings and allows to switch it to sports mode. A full-colour LCD display, navigation system, keyless entry system were also available for extra fee.
