Technical characteristics of Mazda Premacy (CP)
Body dimensions differed depending on the version. The length varied from 4295 to 4340 mm, width was 1695 mm and height equalled 1570–1590 mm.
The luggage compartment capacity was 370 litres and 1848 litres – with the rear seats folded. Loading capacity was under 540 kg. Initially, road clearance could be 150 or 155 mm, but the cars with 160 mm clearance became available after the facelift.
The suspension was independent. MacPherson struts were used in the front, and multi-link suspension – in the rear. Vented brake discs were mounted on the front axle and solid ones – on the rear.
Main versions
The manufacturer released about 10 versions. Two of them featured turbocharged diesel power units with direct fuel injection, the rest – high-performance petrol engines FP. Mazda Premacy (1999–2005) cars were produced with front- or all-wheel drive.
The front-wheel-drive petrol version 2.0 AT was one of the most powerful. It had an inline 4-cylinder engine with multi-point fuel injection. This power unit had an output reaching 165 hp. Max torque of 177 N·m was reached at 5000 rpm. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle was 8.6 litres per 100 km.
Trim levels of Premacy (CP)
The minivans were produced in several trim levels: Atlantis, GXi, Sport, GSi, GXE, GSE. The standard equipment of all cars included an anti-theft system, ABS, heated power side mirrors, sound system with remote control. Apart from front airbags, side ones were installed.
GSE trim level was one of the most popular. The minivans feature factory-installed alloy wheels, CD-player, climate control, Isofix child seat attachment points, power sunroof and traction control system.
