Kia Cerato hatchback (LD) technical specifications
Before restyling, the length, width and height were 4,340, 1,735 and 1,470 mm respectively. The ride height was 160 mm. Its maximum payload capacity varied from 325 to 533 kg depending on the version. The luggage compartment volume was 518 liters and could be increased up to 1,495 liters with the rear seats folded.
The restyled car became 10 mm longer. Other parameters remained the same. The front axle of the vehicle was fitted with ventilated brake discs. The rear axle was equipped with non-ventilated discs.

The 1.5 CRDi MT model was characterised by low fuel consumption. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder, 16-valve straight diesel engine with a turbocharger and Common Rail system. The power unit produced 102 hp with the maximum torque of 235 N·m at 2,000 rpm. The maximum speed of the car was 175 kph. It could accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 12.5 seconds. To cover the distance of 100 km, the vehicle consumed 6.4 litres of fuel in the urban cycle, 4 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 4.9 litres in the combined cycle.

Apart from the base trim, there were several extended ones, for example, GS, LX, Zapp. Standard equipment package of all vehicles had ABS, front and side airbags and an adjustable steering wheel. Besides, there was air conditioning, an audio system with a CD player, power side mirrors, power windows. The Zapp trim offered alloy wheel rims and front fog lights.
