Kia Picanto II (TA) technical specifications
The hatchback’s dimensions remained the same throughout the entire production period. Body length, width and height were 3595 mm, 1595 mm and 1480 mm respectively. The ground clearance was 142 mm. The luggage compartment volume was 200 litres and increased to 605 litres with the rear seats folded. The front car axle was equipped with brake discs and the rear axle with drum brakes.
Main versions
Ten FWD versions of the Kia Picanto II (TA) were manufactured. Petrol and hybrid hatchbacks were available. The latter could run on both petrol and liquid petroleum gas. A flexible-fuel version was also available, running on a mixture of petrol and ethanol.
The 1.2 AT petrol version was one of the most popular. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line engine with port fuel injection. Engine output was 85 hp and maximum torque was 120.6 N·m at 4000 rpm. Fuel consumption was 7.3 litres per 100 km in the urban cycle, 4.6 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 5.6 litres in the combined cycle. The car’s top speed was 163 km/h and acceleration was 0 to 100 km/h in 13.7 seconds.
Picanto II (TA) trim levels
The manufacturer offered the following trim levels: 1, 2, 3, 4, Air, SR7, VR7, Equinox, 2 EcoDynamics, SE, City, White, Quantum, Halo, Chilli and Sport. All Picanto II TA hatchbacks (2011–2017) were equipped with ABS, an audio system with CD-player, front and side airbags and front electric windows. The steering wheel position was adjustable.
The 2 EcoDynamics extended trim included air-conditioning, alloy rims, front fog lights, rear electric windows and electric heated wing mirrors.
