How to identify malfunction of the tie rod axle joint
This component should be checked by two persons: one person should move the components of the mechanism, and the second one should check the free play in the joints. When you check the component yourself, simulate the movements in various directions for this unit. You can check whether the component is fixed in place, with a simple inspection.

- lift the left and right side of the vehicle to unload the stabilizer;
- unscrew the bolt of the suspension joint under the shock absorber strut;
- extract the joint stud;
- mark the initial position of the component;
- unscrew the mounting nuts of the replaced component;
- install a new component in the place you marked;
- tighten the nuts on the joint, and the clamping bolt, the tightening torque for the latter should be 65 Nm;
- have wheels aligned at a service station.
The maximum period of use of the component should not exceed 100 thousand kilometers of mileage.
