Subaru Forester II (SG) technical specifications
Length, width and height of Subaru Forester II (SG) crossovers were 4450 mm, 1735 mm and 1585 mm respectively. The interior of the car was five-seater. Due to a wide range of adjustments, the driver's seat could comfortably accommodate a person of any height. The volume of luggage compartment was 387 litres. It could be increased to 1592 litres by folding the rear seats. Road clearance was 190 mm, which guaranteed excellent off-road performance.
Both suspensions were independent and ensured the vehicle with optimal combination of maneuverability, steerability and comfort. The car was smoothly cornering and maintaining excellent stability at the same time – mostly due to the subframe, which increased chassis stiffness. Brake discs were usually installed on the front axle only.
The roof, bonnet and bumper were made of aluminum alloys. This allowed to reduce vehicle weight by about 30 kg compared to its predecessor.
Moreover, the crossovers could impress with enlarged windscreen wiper blades, due to which visibility in poor weather was improved.
