SsangYong Musso Sports pickups (Р100) were 4,940 mm long, 1,870 mm wide and 1,770 mm high. Like an SUV, the cabin had five seats. A spacious load bay could transport extremely large objects. There was a folding back rail. The ground clearance was 195 mm. The body had four doors.
The front suspension was independent, fitted with two wishbone-shaped arms, while the rear axle was dependent, with leaf-springs. The front axle of the vehicle was fitted with ventilated brake discs, the rear with solid ones.

Throughout the production run, there were only four versions of the SsangYong Musso Sports. They all were fitted with a diesel 2.9 l engine. It had 5 cylinders and 10 valves and produced 120 hp. The maximum torque was 256 N⋅m and was reached at 2,400 rpm. There were two kinds of gearboxes available: five-speed manual and four-speed automatic. They had either a rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The rear-wheel-drive version with manual transmission consumed 11.6 litres of fuel per 100 km in the urban cycle, 7.2 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 8.8 litres in the combined cycle. The maximum speed reached 155 km/h. It took the SUV 20 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kpm/h. Its load capacity was 400 kg.
The Musso Sports (Р100): trims
The Musso Sports pickup (Р100) had a wide range of equipment for its class. It had a factory-installed anti-lock braking system, limited-slip differential, seat belts with pre-tensioners, electric wing mirrors, front airbags, and front and rear power windows. Power steering and cast wheels were also included in the basic equipment. The seats were comfortable, could be electric and trimmed with leather. The instrument panel and door panels were trimmed with wood. The central armrest had a spacious compartment for storing small items. Air conditioning, cruise control, and an audio system were factory-installed.
