The SEAT Ibiza III (6L, 6L1) is a 3- and 5-door hatchback that was produced between 2002 and 2009. The SEAT Ibiza III (6L, 6L1) was 3953 mm long, 1698 mm wide and 1441 mm high. The interior was rather spacious: it could comfortably seat a driver and four passengers. The boot capacity varied from 267–960 litres depending on the rear seat configuration. Ground clearance was 161 mm.

The 1.8 20VT FR petrol version was one of the most powerful. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 20-valve engine with multi-point fuel injection, a turbocharger and intercooler. Its maximum output was 150 hp. The maximum torque of 220 N⋅m was reached at 2200 rpm. The car accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. The top speed was 216 km/h. Fuel consumption was 6.1 litres in the extra-urban cycle, 7.9 litres in the combined cycle and 10.9 litres in the urban cycle. The maximum loading capacity was 520 kg. It had a 5-speed manual transmission. The wheels were equipped with 16-inch low-profile tyres.

SEAT Ibiza III (6L, 6L1) cars were available in the following trim levels: Stella, Signo, Sport, Reference, Selection, Businessline, Stylance, FR, Joya Racer.
The Reference trim included an anti-lock braking system, stability and traction control systems, front and side airbags, central locking, power steering, electric windows, and a height- and reach-adjustable steering wheel. Air-conditioning, alloy wheel rims and an anti-theft system were optional extras. The rear seats could be moved forward and partially folded.
