Seat Ibiza II (6K, 6K1) technical specifications
Seat Ibiza II (6K, 6K1) cars were 3813 mm long, 1640 mm wide and 1424 mm high. They could seat five people. The boot capacity varied from 270–802 litres, depending on the rear seat configuration.
The front suspension was independent with MacPherson struts; the rear suspension was semi-independent. It was adapted to sports driving, ensuring excellent steerability and handling. The body had an aerodynamic shape with a drag coefficient of 0.33.
Brake discs were usually installed on the front axle only, but there were versions with discs on all wheels.
Main versions
Many versions of Seat Ibiza II (6K, 6K1) were produced during the manufacturing period. Most of them had petrol engines. All were front-wheel-drive.
The 2.0i 16V GTi Cupra version was the most powerful and dynamic. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve naturally aspirated engine with multi-point fuel injection. Output was 150 hp output and torque 180 N⋅m. The car accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. Its top speed was 216 km/h. However, fuel consumption was quite high: 11.9 litres per 100 km in the urban cycle, 8.4 litres in the combined cycle and 6.9 litres in the extra-urban cycle. The maximum loading capacity was 485 kg.
The transmission was manual and had 5 speeds. Brake discs were installed on all wheels. This version also boasted 16-inch alloy wheel rims with low-profile tyres.

Many trim levels were offered for Ibiza II (6K, 6K1) hatchbacks: Conga, Cupra, SXE, CL, CLX, S, GLX и GT, Passion, Sport, Slalom, Vigo, Latino, Del Sol and others.
The hatchbacks with Slalom trim were equipped with front airbags, a tachometer, windscreen wipers with intermittent mode, tinted windows, body-coloured bumpers, fog lights, central locking, electric windows, power steering, and heated electric wing mirrors. The rear seats could be partially folded and were equipped with headrests.
