Technical characteristics of Renault Laguna II (BG0/1)
The length of Renault Laguna II (BG0/1) cars was 4579 mm, width – 1749 mm, height – 1429 mm. Depending on whether the rear seats were folded, the luggage compartment capacity varied between 430 and 1340 litres. Road clearance reached 125 mm. More than 30 versions of Renault Laguna (2001‒2007) hatchbacks were produced during the whole manufacturing period; most of them were petrol. All the cars had front-wheel drive.
The petrol version 2.0 16V IDE had balanced characteristics. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 16-valve engine with power output reaching 140 hp and the torque of 200 N⋅m. Direct fuel injection system improved vehicle dynamics and its fuel efficiency. The hatchback accelerated to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds, and its top speed was 210 km/h. The car consumed 10.4 litres of fuel per 100 km in the urban cycle, 7.7 litres – in the combined cycle and 6.1 litres – in the extra-urban cycle. The loading capacity of the car equalled 535 kg.
Trim levels of Laguna II (BG0/1)
Numerous trim levels were offered for Laguna II (BG0/1) hatchbacks. Their names differed slightly depending on the market. For instance, Confort Expression, Confort Dynamique, Luxe Dynamique, Luxe Privilège trim levels available in France were known in Germany as simply Expression, Dynamique and Privilège. Apart from them, Authentique, Initiale, Emotion and GT trims were popular in most countries.
These cars had rich equipment. For example, the Privilege trim level could boast factory-installed dual-zone climate control, front and rear electric windows, parking sensors, systems of traction and stability control, central armrests for front and rear passengers. Heated seats, a navigation system, xenon headlights and others were available optionally.
