The convertibles 205 I were 3705 mm long, 1589 mm wide and 1350 mm high. The volume of luggage compartment was 216 liters. The interior of the car was four-seater.

More than 10 versions of the Peugeot 205 I (741B, 20D) were produced during the years of manufacture. All of them had petrol engines and front-wheel drive.
The 1.6 CTI was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1986 and was one of the most popular versions. This powerful, stylish and dynamic version instantly won recognition, especially from young customers. The convertible had a 4-cylinder, 8-valve engine with 105 hp output and 132 N⋅m torque. Acceleration to 100 km/h took 10.1 seconds, while the top speed was 185 km/h. Fuel consumption was moderate: 7.5 litres in the combined cycle. The system of multi-point fuel injection improved performance and fuel efficiency.
Trim levels of 205 I (741B, 20D)
A few trim levels were offered for Peugeot 205 I 741B, 20D cars: CTI, CT and CJ. Moreover, limited series such as Roland Garros and Cabriolet 205 had special features.
Cabriolets of Roland Garros series had the best equipment. They featured sports seats with white leather upholstery, power windows, power hood and other facilities. The car was equipped with tinted windows and intermittent windscreen wiper blades.
