Technical characteristics of Peugeot 207 (WA_, WC_)

Peugeot 207 (WA_, WC_) was 4030 mm long, 1720 mm wide and 1472 mm high. After the restyling car dimensions changed slightly: its length was increased to 4045 mm and width – to 1748 mm.

Volume of the luggage compartment could be 270–923 litres according to the position of the rear seats backs. Road clearance was 122 mm. A driver and four passengers could seat in the cabin with comfort.

For instance, 1.6 THP MT version equipped with 4-cylinder 16-valve engine of 150 hp output consumed only 5.6 litres in extra-urban cycle, 7 litres – in combined cycle and 9.6 litres – in urban cycle. Its dynamic characteristics pleased high speed fans: the car accelerated to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and could drive at 210 km/h speed. The right combination of performance, dynamics and fuel-efficiency was achieved thanks to original system – VTi, which controlled valve timing, and Twin-Scroll turbocharger with separate exhaust manifold. Thanks to the latter, the max torque of 240 N⋅m was reached in 1400–4000 rpm range. Although, loading capacity of this version was low – only 374 kg.
