Technical specifications of Opel Zafira B A05

Compared to its predecessor, the Opel Zafira (2005–2014) was significantly larger. Its length, height and width were 4,467 mm, 1,801 mm and 1,645 mm respectively. The car was a 7-seater, but the Flex 7 system allowed transforming it into 5-, 4-, 3- or even 2-seater without removing the extra seats. Moreover, the back of the front passenger seat could be folded as well, which is convenient for transporting long cargo. The luggage compartment capacity could be from 140 to 1,820 litres, depending on how you arrange the interior. The optionally available system FlexOrganizer, which consists of railings and moveable fixations for straps, hooks and storage boxes, allowed using the space as efficient as possible. The passenger compartment also had special sections for storing the essentials tucked in the overhead console. The vehicle’s ground clearance equalled 150 mm, and 160 mm – after the facelift.

One of the most popular versions was the petrol 1.6 MT. It had a revised engine of the Ecotec series with the innovative variable valve timing system. It outputted 115 hp with the max torque of 150 N⋅m and top engine speed of 6,000 rpm. Accelerating to 100 km/h took 13.4 seconds. The car’s maximum speed was 187 km/h. The fuel consumption was rather small: 9.3 litres per 100 km in the urban cycle, 5.8 litres – in the extra-urban, 7.1 litres – in the combined cycle. The load carrying capacity of this version was 570 kg.

Trim levels of Zafira B A05

Apart from the basic trim, the following trim levels were available for the vehicle: Essentia, Enjoy, Cosmo, and ОРС. The equipment list was rather large. For example, the Cosmo trim level offered a 3-spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel with stereo system control buttons and electro-hydraulic power steering. The seats were height-adjustable and heated, with adjustable lumbar support. Active headrests were offered as an optional extra. Electronically operated climate control system maintained the comfortable temperature inside the car. The interior trimming featured a lot of leather and matt chrome accents.
