The Jaguar X-Type saloon technical specifications
The initial dimensions of the car body were the following: length – 4,672, width – 1,789, height – 1,392 mm. The ground clearance varied between 170 and 175 mm depending on the version. The volume of luggage compartment was 452 liters. After restyling, the car became 38 mm higher. Other dimensions remained unchanged.
The front axle of the vehicle was fitted with ventilated brake discs. The rear one was equipped with non-ventilated components.
Main versions
There were over 10 versions of the Jaguar X-Type saloon. They included both petrol and diesel models. The manufacturer offered saloons with a front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
One of the most popular versions was a 3.0 АТ AWD petrol model with a 24-valve, V6 engine with multipoint fuel injection. The power unit produced 231 hp, its maximum torque was 284 N·m at 3,000 rpm. The fuel consumption of the saloon per 100 km was 14.8 litres in the urban cycle, 7.7 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 10.3 litres in the combined cycle. The version had good speed characteristics. The maximum speed of the car reached 235 kph. It accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 7 seconds.
X-Type saloon trim levels
Apart from the base trim levels of the Jaguar X-Type saloon (2001–2009), there were extended ones. They included XS, S, Classic Plus, Classic, Indianapolis, Sport Plus, Sport, SE Plus, S Collection, Sovereign, SE, Spirit, Sport Premium, Sport Premium Collection.
The base equipment of the cars included ABS and traction control, alloy wheel rims, front and side airbags, front fog lights. There were front power windows and heated side mirrors.
The Sport Premium Collection trim included an audio system with a CD player, climate control, cruise control, front power seats. There were also power side mirrors, headlight washers, parking sensors, rear power windows and a sat nav. The seats were partially trimmed with leather.
