The five-seater, five-door Jaguar X-Type estate cars were produced from 2004 to 2009 by the British car maker Jaguar Cars. The exterior and interior were developed by British designer Ian Callum. The Jaguar X-Type estate car technical specifications
The initial length of the body was 4,716, the width was 1,789, the height was 1,483 mm. The ride height reached 170 mm. The volume of luggage compartment was 445 litres and could be increased up to 1,415 litres with the rear seats folded. The maximum payload capacity was 475 kg.
After restyling, the car became 44 mm shorter and 53 mm lower. Other parameters remained the same. The front axle was equipped with ventilated brake discs and the rear one – with non-ventilated components.
Main versions
There were over 10 versions of the Jaguar X-Type estate car. There were diesel and petrol, front-wheel and all-wheel drive cars.
The front-wheel-drive 2.2 D МТ version was characterised by high fuel efficiency. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder, 16-valve straight diesel engine with a turbocharger and Common Rail system. It had 152 hp, its maximum torque was 366 N·m at 1,800 rpm. The fuel consumption per 100 km was 8.4 litres in the urban cycle, 4.9 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 6.1 litres in the combined cycle. The maximum speed of the car reached 215 kph. It accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 9.3 seconds.
X-Type estate car trim levels
The manufacturer offered several trim levels for the X-Type estate car (2004–2008). They were the following: S, XS, SE, Sport S, Classic, Sport Collection, Sport, S Collection, Sovereign, Sport Premium, Sport Premium Collection, Executive.
All cars were factory equipped with ABS and traction control, front and side airbags. There were also alloy wheel rims, heated power mirrors, front power windows, a roof rack and front fog lights.
The S Collection extended trim included an audio system with a CD player, climate control, front power seats, and rear power windows. Seats were partially trimmed with leather. Air conditioning, cruise control and sports seats were available for an extra fee.
