FIAT Stilo Multi Wagon (192) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
Fiat Stilo 192 station wagons are 5-seater cars produced between 2002 and 2008. Their debut took place at Paris Motor Show in 2002. MultiWagon was used as a designation for cars in this body version. And the station wagon produced in 2005 with off-road style look was known as Uproad. These cars were very spacious despite their compact sizes, which was appreciated by many customers. Technical specifications of Fiat Stilo 192 station wagons
Length of the station wagon was 4516 mm, width – 1756 mm, height – 1570 mm. Road clearance equaled 150 mm. Semi-independent torsion bar suspension was installed on the rear axle. It was reliable and durable. Moreover, it was also very compact, which allowed to use the inner space advantageously, in particular, increase the luggage compartment. Its volume could be increased from 510 to 1480 litres by folding the rear seat backs. Moreover, the front passenger seat also had folding back. The rear window could be opened if necessary. Some cars had a hole in the rear seat back designed for transporting skis.
The car had brake discs on both front and rear vehicle axles.
Main versions
More than 15 versions of Fiat Stilo 192 (2002–2008) station wagons were released over the years of production, including diesel and petrol ones. All of them were front-wheel drive.
1.9 JTD 16v 140 version was one of the most popular. Its engine with 4 cylinders and 16 valves, Common Rail fuel injection system, turbocharger and intercooler demonstrated excellent dynamics and high fuel efficiency. Torque of the engine equaled 305 N⋅m and output – 140 hp. It took 10 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h and top speed of the version was 200 km/h. Fuel consumption was low: mere 7.8 litres per 100 km in urban cycle, 5.6 litres in combined cycle and 4.4 litres in extra-urban cycle. Loading capacity of the version was 535 kg. It had 6-speed manual transmission.
Trim levels of Stilo 192
According to the market segment Stilo 192 station wagons could be offered in one of the following trim levels: Active, Dynamic, Business Connect, Abarth, Actual, Young, Active Plus, Emotion. A special list of equipment was offered for limited series of cars: Trofeo, Torino, Michael Schumacher and others.
Equipment was rather rich. The Emotion trim level had anti-lock braking system with force distribution, braking assist, cruise-control, air-conditioner. The car had factory-installed front, side, head front and rear airbags. The seats were height-adjustable and heated. The driver seat had excellent lumbar support.
