Fiat Panda II 169 cars are 5-seat city hatchbacks, production of which was performed from 2003 till 2013. These cars differed from their previous generation so much that initially they were intended to be marketed as a separate model – Gingo. Under this name, they debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2003. Later it was decided to leave the old name. Main changes affected the body design: it became 5-door in all versions. Technical specifications of Fiat Panda II 169
The car length could be 3,540–3,590 mm depending on the version and production year, the width was 1,578–1,606 mm, the height – 1,540–1,630 mm. The road clearance was 120 mm. The luggage compartment could house 206–860 litres. The passenger compartment could be 5- or 4-seat: instead of the 3-seat rear couch, it was possible to order 2 separate seats.
The front suspension was independent, of MacPherson type, the rear one – dependent, with a torsion beam. Both were characterized by durability and reliability. The front axle of the hatchback was equipped with brake discs, the rear one – with drums.

15 versions of Fiat Panda II 169 hatchback have been produced over all manufacturing years. They included diesel, petrol and dual-fuel versions running on petrol and LPG. They could be either front-wheel driven or AWD.
The 1.2 4x4 Climbing petrol version was rather popular. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder 8-valve injection engine developing 69 hp and 102 Nm. The car could not boast great dynamics: its maximum speed was as low as 145 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h took 20 seconds. But fuel consumption was low: only 5.8 litres of petrol in extra-urban cycle, 6.6 litres in combined cycle, 7.9 litres in urban cycle. The loading capacity was 470 kg.
Moreover, the hatchback was characterized by good off-road performance. The road clearance of this version was increased to 160 mm.
Panda II 169 trim levels
Depending on the market, Fiat Panda II 169 hatchbacks were offered in the following trim levels: Actual, Active, Dynamic, Emotion, Active Plus, Eleganza and others. Special equipment lists were also offered for the cars produced in limited series.
The car of the richest trim level, Emotion, had factory-installed climate control, CD player, satellite navigation with a colour LC display, airbags and curtains. The car also had alloy wheel rims and low-profile tyres.
