Technical specifications of Fiat Scudo II 270 vans

Fiat Scudo II 270 vans were produced with short (3000 mm) and long (3122 mm) wheelbase. Correspondingly, body length was 4805 mm or 5143 mm, width – 1895 mm. Height varied between 1894 and 2278 mm. According to the selected body length-and-height ratio, volume of the loadspace varied between 5.6 and 7 m3.

Access to the loadspace t was provided with the side sliding and rear swing doors. Although the cabin featured the bulkhead, which divided the seats from the cargo space, the possibility of transportation of long items was also ensured: it could be placed under the seats.

Main versions

All in all, about 10 versions of Fiat Scudo II 270 vans were produced, most of them were diesel. Torque was transmitted either to the front axle or to all four wheels.

1.6 MJet was one of the most popular versions. It featured 4-cylinder 16-valve engine with 90 hp output. Its torque equaled 180 N⋅m. It was reached at low engine speed – about 1750 rpm. The van accelerated to 100 km/h in 19.6 seconds. Its top speed was 145 km/h. Owing to the turbocharger and Common Rail direct fuel injection system, fuel consumption was low: only 6.6 litres in extra-urban cycle, 7.2 litres – in combined cycle and 8.4 litres – in urban cycle. The van featured 5-speed manual transmission.

Trim levels of Scudo II 270

Scudo II 270 vans were available in various trim levels, the most popular of which were Comfort and De Luxe. Comfort trim level featured hydraulic power steering, anti-lock braking system with force distribution, driver airbag, power windows, headlights levelling system, central locking and immobilizer. The steering column and driver seat were height-adjustable, which allowed to seat behind the wheel with maximum comfort. Air-conditioner and heated seats were offered as options. Power side-view mirrors, satellite navigation and pneumatic suspension, which provided the possibility to lower the load height, could be ordered as well.
