Daewoo Nubira I saloons (J100) were 4467 mm long, 1700 mm wide and 1425 mm high. The vehicle was spacious enough to accommodate a driver and four passengers. The luggage compartment volume was 370 liters but it could be increased up to 890 liters with the rear seats folded. The road clearance reached 140 mm.
Both suspensions were independent: MacPherson strut on the front axle, wishbone suspension on the rear one. Front wheels were fitted with brake discs, the rear ones – with brake drums.
Main versions
Four versions of Daewoo Nubira I saloons (J100) were made. They had front-wheel drive and ran on petrol. A 5-speed manual transmission was factory-installed. A four-speed automatic transmission was available for an extra charge.
One of the most popular ones was a 1.6 version with a 16-valve engine which produced 106 hp. The maximum torque was 145 N⋅m. It was reached at 3400 revolutions per minute. The car accelerated from 0 to 100 kmph in just 11 seconds. Its speed could reach 185 kph. The fuel consumption of the vehicle per 100 km was 6.8 liters in the extra-urban cycle and 12.8 liters in the urban cycle. The payload capacity was 575 kg.
Nubira I (J100) trim levels
Nubira I vehicles (J100) were available with the following trim packages: SE, SX and CDX.
The range of the equipment was quite wide. The CDX trim of the saloon provided anti-lock braking system, front airbags, adjustable steering wheel, air conditioner, central locking system, intermittent wipers, etc. Rear seats had headrests and folding backrests. The front seats provided excellent lumbar support. The driver's seat was height-adjustable. Leather-trimmed interior was available for an extra charge. There were heated power side mirrors. This trim had factory-installed fog lights and tinted windows. Sunroof was optional.
