DAEWOO Nexia I Hatchback (N100) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
The Daewoo Nexia hatchbacks (N100) are three- and five-door cars which were marketed in most European countries from 1995 to 1997. They were based on the Opel Kadett E, so they get a lot of assemblies from it. These hatchbacks from the Korean manufacturer were characterised by reliability, modern design and good performance. The hatchbacks were 4256 mm long, 1662 mm wide and 1393 mm high. There were five seats in the car interior. Depending on the position of rear seats, the luggage compartment volume varied from 390 to 720 litres. The ride height reached 160 mm.
The front suspension was independent while the rear one – semi-independent. The front axle of the vehicle was fitted with brake discs. The rear one was fitted with brake drums.
Main versions
4 versions of this car were available in the European market. All of them had a front-wheel drive and petrol engines. A customer could choose either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions.
One of the most widely-spread models was the 1.5 АТ version. It was equipped with a 4-cylinder engine with 8 valves which produced 75 hp. The maximum torque was 123 N·m. It was achieved at 3200 rpm. It accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 15.9 seconds. The maximum speed of the car reached 163 kph. The average fuel consumption was 7.9 litres per 100 km.
Nexia (the N100) cars trim levels
There were two trim levels of Daewoo Nexia hatchbacks (N100): GL and GTX.
The GTX offered a wider range of options. It included power steering, front fog lights, air conditioning, driver’s airbag, central locking system, front power windows. Metallic body-colour was available for an extra charge.
