Daewoo Lacetti (J200) cars are 5-seat saloons sold in Europe from 2004 to 2005. Their production started in South Korea in 2002. They debuted on the Seoul Motor Show. The famous studio Pininfarina designed the body of these cars. Technical characteristics of Daewoo Lacetti (J200)
Daewoo Lacetti (J200) saloons were 4515 mm long, 1725 mm wide and 1445 mm high. The interior of the car had 5 seats. Due to a long wheelbase of 2600 mm, there was much room inside. Volume of the luggage compartment was 404 litres.
Both suspensions were independent: the front – with MacPherson struts, the rear one – with arms and twist-beam. Both suspensions were characterized by good impact absorbing capacity, ensuring soft and smooth driving even on poor-quality roads.
As a rule, brake discs were installed on the front axle only. But there were versions with discs on all wheels.
Main versions
2 versions of Daewoo Lacetti (J200) saloons were produced during manufacturing time. They had petrol engines. The cars were front-wheel-drive.
1.8 MT version was very popular. Its 4-cylinder 16-valve engine developed 122 hp output and had 165 N⋅m maximum torque. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Top speed – 194 km/h. Fuel consumption in extra-urban cycle was 6.2 litres per 100 km, in combined cycle – 7.5 litres, in urban cycle – 9.8 litres. Maximum loading capacity of the car was 285 kg.
All the wheels were equipped with brake discs in this version.
Trim levels of Lacetti (J200)
Depending on a market and production year, Daewoo Lacetti (J200) cars were offered in the following trim levels: LUX, MAX, Platinum, Diamond и EX, SX, CDX and others.
The saloon of CDX trim had the steering column adjustable in two directions, sportive seats with side support, 15-inch alloy wheel rims, climate-control, armrest with cupholders, CD-player for 5 discs, front and rear electric windows and cruise-control. The doors were reinforced with stiffening ribs; the body had crumple zones. Front and side airbags, as well as three-point seat belts for all seats were installed as standard. The interior was trimmed with leather. Windscreen wiper blades were turned on automatically by rain sensor signal.
