Technical characteristics of Citroën Berlingo I (MF)
Citroën Berlingo I (MF) cars were 4108 mm long, 1719 mm wide and 1801 mm high. Depending on the arrangement of the rear seats, the luggage compartment capacity varied from 624 to 2800 litres. Road clearance was 140 mm. But it reached 170 mm in some versions.
The car was a 5-seater and, as a rule, 4-door. Accessing the rear seats was possible via the side sliding door and the luggage compartment – via the rear lifting door.
The front and rear suspensions were independent. Both of them were equipped with stabilizer bars, which ensured the minivan’s excellent steerability and stability at cornering.

More than 20 versions of Citroën Berlingo I (MF) minivans were produced during manufacturing years. They included diesel, petrol, dual-fuel and electric versions. Usually, they had front-wheel drive. But there were also all-wheel-drive versions.
1.6 HDi 90 hp, a diesel version, had optimal characteristics. Its engine was a 4-cylinder 16-valve turbocharged unit with Common Rail fuel injection system. It reached the max torque of 215 N⋅m at 1750 rpm. The minivan accelerated to 100 km/h in 14.8 seconds. Its top speed reached 160 km/h. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle was 5.4 litres per 100 km, 4.7 litres – in the extra-urban cycle and 6.7 litres – in the urban cycle. Maximum loading capacity equalled 665 kg.
Trim levels of Berlingo I (MF)
Citroën Berlingo I (MF) cars were available in the following trim levels: X-TR, Caractere, Attraction, Cinqspace Club and others.
With the Attraction trim, the minivan featured an anti-lock braking system with brake force distribution, braking assist, front airbags, air conditioner, power steering, front power windows, central locking with remote control, electrically-adjusted and heated side mirrors. The rear seats were equipped with headrests and split-folding backs. Additional paid-for options included side airbags and alloy wheels.
