Main modifications
During all manufacturing years, about 50 modifications of VW Caddy 2KA, 2KH, 2CA, 2CH (2004–2015) were produced; most of them were diesel. 7 diesel and 2 petrol modifications for short-wheelbase vans and 3 petrol and 4 diesel ones for Maxi vans were released till 2010. Quantity of modifications increased to 17 diesel and 8 petrol after 2010, 2 petrol and 1 diesel of which were for the Cross Caddy van, stylized as an off-roader. Moreover, engines, operating on autogas or biofuel were installed in some cars.
One of the most interesting is an all-wheel drive modification 2.0 TDI 4Motion MT. Thanks to high injection pressure (about 2050 bar) and presence of a turbocharger, the car engine runned quietly, smoothly and efficiently. It was able to produce up to 110 hp. Car loading capacity was 684 kg. Common Rail fuel injection system allowed for increased fuel efficiency. 4Motion all-wheel drive system with Haldex hydraulic coupling provided excellent off-road performance and stability of the vehicle on any type of road surface. Ventilated brake discs were used for the front axle, the rear one had disc brakes as well.
Configurations of Caddy 2KA, 2KH, 2CA, 2CH
The car was available in various trim levels. The most popular of them are: Basis, Economy and Edition30. All of them offer a vast list of options to car owners. For instance, in Edition30 configuration the car was equipped with electric power steering, headrests with height adjustment, heated power mirrors, multi-functional steering wheel and numerous passive safety systems. Exterior is notable for bumpers and side mirror housings painted in body colour, and door sill plates with original “Edition30” lettering.
