Technical characteristics of Škoda Roomster (5J)

The minivan was 4205 mm long, 1684 mm wide and 1607 mm high. The capacity of the luggage compartment varied between 450 and 1555 litres. Road clearance was 140 mm.

The rear seats were separate. The back of the middle seat was easily transformed into a convenient armrest. The side ones could be moved forward or to the centre of the car. With all the rear seats removed, a bicycle easily fitted inside the luggage compartment, that is why the car was perfect for fans of outdoor activities.

The front suspension was independent, the rear – semi-independent. Brake discs were mounted on all wheels.

The diesel version 1.6 TDI MT was one of the most popular. It had a turbocharged 4-cylinder 16-valve engine with intercooler, Common Rail fuel injection system, and particulate filter. Engine output equalled 105 hp. Max torque was 250 N⋅m. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds. Its speed could reach 181 km/h. At the same time, fuel consumption was only 4.1 litres of fuel in the extra-urban cycle, 4.7 litres – in the combined cycle and 5.7 litres – in the urban cycle. The loading capacity of this version was 555 kg.

The trim level Fresh included cruise and climate control, front and rear power electric windows, power steering, central locking, front and side airbags, trip computer, audio system, systems of stability and traction control. The steering wheel was adjustable by height and reach. It could be trimmed with leather for an extra charge. Such features as curtain airbags, sportive seats, parking sensors, panoramic roof, navigation system and some others were available optionally.
