Škoda Octavia II (1Z5) Specifications
Škoda Octavia II (1Z5) estate cars’ sizes were: length: 4572 mm, width: 1769 mm and height: 1468 mm. The cabin was spacious. A driver and four passengers could be seated inside. Volume of the luggage compartment varied in the range of 580–1620 litres. Road clearance was 140 mm. In some all-wheel-drive versions it was 180 mm.
The front suspension was independent MacPherson type, the rear – independent multi-link. Brake discs were installed on all wheels: ventilated on the front, and non-ventilated – on the rear wheels.
Main versions
More than 30 versions of Škoda Octavia II (2004–2013) estate cars were produced during manufacturing period. Most of them were petrol and diesel, but some were bi-fuel. As a rule, they had front-wheel drive. However, there were versions with all-wheel drive.
2.0 TDI (140 hp) diesel version demonstrated excellent dynamics and fuel-efficiency. It was equipped with 4-cylinder 16-valve engine. Thanks to turbocharger and injection pump the engine produced 320 N⋅m torque at 1700 rpm. Due to this, the car accelerated to 100 km/h in mere 9.7 seconds and could reach speeds of up to 207 km/h. Loading capacity equaled 660 kg. The estate consumed 4.9 litres of fuel per 100 km in extra-urban cycle, 6 litres – in combined cycle and 4.9 litres – in urban cycle. 6-speed sequential transmission was installed on the car.
Trim levels of Octavia II
Octavia II (1Z5) estate cars were available in the following trim levels: Classic, Elegance, Ambiente, RS, Ultimate, Scout, L&K, Business and others.
The cars were rich in equipment. For instance, Scout all-wheel-drive estate cars were equipped with anti-lock braking system and electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control and emergency brake assist, traction control, hill start assist, differential lock. The car had factory-installed front, side and curtain airbags. The front seats were adjusted by height and provided lumbar support. The car also featured heated power folding wing mirrors. Cruise-control, dual-zone climate-control and parking sensors were also among standard equipment.
