SEAT Altea (5P1) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
SEAT Altea (5P1) cars are 5-seat compact minivans that were manufactured between 2004 and 2015. Their debut took place at the Geneva Motor Show. These cars differed from other cars in their segment by a sportier design. The minivans were awarded as “The World's Most Beautiful Automobile” during the international contest in Milan and won the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” design award. Moreover, they won the “Auto Trophy” award twice (in 2004 and 2005); it is regularly granted by the German magazine “Autozeitung” based on the readers poll. The car performed excellently in the Euro NCAP crash-tests in 2005: it got the highest mark of five stars. We recommend you to buy spare parts for SEAT Altea (5P1) in our online shop. Both vehicle suspensions were independent: the front – with MacPherson struts, the rear – multilink. They ensured excellent steerability and maximal comfort even when driving on poor-quality roads. Both axles of the vehicle were equipped with brake discs.
Vertically mounted windscreen wiper blades, hiding in the front body pillars were the distinctive exterior feature of these cars. Such a design increased the safety of pedestrians during a collision.
