The Saab 9-5 estate cars (YS3E): specifications
The Saab 9-5 estate cars (YS3E) had the following dimensions: they were 4808 mm long, 1792 mm wide and 1497 mm high. The body type was five-seater. The luggage compartment volume was 416 litres and could be increased up to 1490 litres with the rear seats folded. The ride height reached 150 mm. However, it was 130 mm in some sports versions with a lowered suspension.
Both suspensions were independent: front – of MacPherson type, rear – of a multi-link type. All wheels were fitted with brake discs.

There were more than 20 versions of the Saab 9-5 estate cars (2005–2015) produced. They were equipped either with diesel or petrol power units. The front axle was a leading one.
The 3.0 V6 T Griffin estate car was considered to be the most powerful and manoeuvrable versions. It was fitted with a 6-cylinder 24-valve 200 hp engine. It ran together with an asymmetrical low-pressure turbocharger. The maximum torque of 310 N⋅m could be reached at 2500 rpm. Due to that, the vehicle accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in just 9.4 seconds. Its maximum speed reached 230 kph and the fuel consumption per 100 km was 11.4 litres in the combined cycle, 8.5 litres in the extra-urban cycle and 16.3 litres – in the urban area. The load capacity of the version reached 550 kg. That model was fitted with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
9-5 (YS3E) cars: trim levels
The following Saab 9-5 estate cars (YS3E) trim levels were available in different markets: S, SE, Griffin, Linear, Arc, Aero.
The Aero trim of the estate cars offered heated sports seats, front and rear power windows, front and side airbags, cruise control, an anti-lock braking system with brake force distribution, an electronic stability programme and traction control, a dual-zone climate control. A satellite navigation system with a colour display, a rain sensor, heated rear seats and some other equipment were available for an extra charge.
