OPEL Vectra C Saloon (Z02) cars: technical specifications, versions and trim levels
Opel Vectra C F69 cars present the third generation of mid-size saloons, manufactured in 2002 – 2008 in Europe. Its official presentation took place at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle became bigger compared to its predecessor, the Vectra B. The body became fully galvanized. It was easy to repair the car even in case of a road accident: body panels and many other car parts were secured by bolts, not by welding, which made their replacement significantly easier. Main versions
Customers had a choice: 9 petrol and 8 diesel versions of Opel Vectra C F69 were released before the facelift in 2005, 13 petrol and 6 diesel versions – after it. Some of them featured excellent dynamics, others were fuel-efficient.
The 3.0 CDTi AT version could be interesting to those who wanted to save money. A 6-cylinder 24-valve V-engine was installed on it. Its top power output was 184 hp, and it had the torque of 400 N⋅m. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Its top speed reached 226 km/h. Fuel consumption was only 5.3 litres per 100 km in the extra-urban cycle, 10.2 litres – in the urban cycle, 7.1 litres – in the combined cycle. Mostly, such a balanced combination of dynamics and fuel-efficiency was achieved by using the turbocharger and intercooler, as well as Common Rail fuel injection system. The new 5-speed automated manual transmission that allowed fast gear shifting had a high actuation speed and greatly improved vehicle handling. The loading capacity of this version was 475 kg.
