Technical specifications of Lexus ES (XV20, XV30)
Dimensions of the car produced in 1996 were the following: length – 4770 mm, width – 1778 mm, height – 1370 mm. Road clearance was 130 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment was 262 litres.
Since 2001, body length increased to 4850 mm, width – to 1790 mm, height – to 1460 mm. The capacity of the luggage compartment reached 410 litres. Road clearance didn’t change.
A front axle of the vehicle was equipped with ventilated brake discs, while the rear one was equipped with non-ventilated parts.
Main versions
The manufacturer offered 6 petrol versions of Lexus ES (XV20, XV30) cars. All of them were front-wheel drive.
330 AT version was rather popular. It was equipped with V6 24-valve power unit with multipoint fuel injection. Engine output was 228 hp, capacity – 3.3 litres, maximum torque – 325 N·m at 3600 rpm. Top speed of the saloon was 230 km/h. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. Fuel consumption per 100 km was 11.8 litres of fuel in the urban cycle and 8.1 litres in the extra-urban cycle.
Trim levels of ES (XV20, XV30)
Apart from the base trim level, a few extended trim levels were offered: F-Sport, Takumi, Coach Edition, Platinum Edition, Black Diamond Edition. All ES saloons (1996–2008) had factory-installed traction control system, ABS, front and side airbags, alloy wheel rims, audio system with a CD player, front power seats, power windows, headlight washers and parking sensors. GPS navigation system, electroluminescent instrument cluster, heated power side mirrors, climate control and power sunroof were also installed. The car interior was trimmed with natural nut wood and leather.
