Technical characteristics of Lexus RX II (XU30)
Initially, body dimensions were the following: length – 4740 mm, width – 1845 mm, height – 1675 mm. Road clearance was 190 mm. Volume of the luggage compartment was 490 litres and reached 2130 litres with the rear seats folded. Maximum payload capacity was 505 kg.
After the first restyling, car length increased by 20 mm, height – by 50 mm. Road clearance was 175 mm. Other parameters didn’t change.
The front axle of the crossover was equipped with ventilated brake discs. Non-ventilated parts were used for the rear one.
Main versions
There were 13 versions of Lexus RX II (XU30). The crossovers with petrol and hybrid power units were offered. The latter ran both on petrol and electric energy. The cars had front- or all-wheel drive.
400h CVT AWD version with stepless transmission was equipped with brand system – Hybrid Drive. It included petrol V engine and 2 electric motors. Their total output was 272 hp, 210 hp out of them were provided by the petrol power unit. Its maximum torque was 288 N·m at 4400 rpm. The top speed of the car – 200 km/h. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
Trim levels of RX II (XU30)
Apart from the base trim levels, the manufacturer offered several extended ones: SE, LE, SR, SE-L, Limited Edition, Exclusive Limited Edition.
All Lexus RX II XU30 (2003–2008) crossovers had factory-installed ABS, traction control system, alloy wheel rims, front and side airbags, climate control. Cruise control, audio system with CD changer, power side mirrors, power windows, front fog lights, a roof rack were available as well.
Exclusive Limited Edition included DVD player, heated front power seats, power sunroof, parking sensors and satellite navigation system. The seats were trimmed with leather.
