Kia Sportage II (JE, KM) technical specifications
The vehicle had the following dimensions: length — 4,350 mm, width — 1,800 mm, height — 1,695 mm. The ride height was 195 mm. The volume of luggage compartment reached 667 liters. It could be increased up to 1,887 liters with the passenger seats folded.
Both suspensions were independent: the front one was of MacPherson type, the rear – of multi-link type. The front axle of the vehicle was fitted with ventilated brake discs, the rear one – with non-ventilated components.
Main versions
There were over 10 versions of Kia Sportage II vehicles (JE, KM). They include both diesel and petrol models. The crossovers had either a front-wheel drive or part-time AWD.
The most powerful was the 2.7 AT 4WD petrol version. It was equipped with a 6-cylinder, 24-valve straight engine with multi-point fuel injection. The power unit produced 175 hp, its maximum torque was 250 N·m at 4,000 rpm. Sportage II (JE, KM) trim levels
The following extended trim levels were available: Xi, XE, XR, Titan, XS. The base trim level of the Kia Sportage II crossovers (2004–2010) included front and side airbags, car alarm, power side mirrors and front power windows. The crossovers also had front fog lights and light alloy wheel rims.
The XS trim level included climate control and cruise control. Side mirrors were heated, and the interior was leather-trimmed. A roof rack, power sunroof, heated seats, steering column adjustment, rear power windows and traction control were available for an extra fee.
