Technical specifications of Ford Mondeo Mk4 BA7

Ford Mondeo (2007–2014) estate car was 4,830 mm long, 1,886 mm wide and 1,512 mm high. The capacity of the luggage compartment was 554 to 1,745 litres. The interior could accommodate the driver and four passengers.

The ground clearance equalled 150 mm. Both front and rear suspensions were independent, and there were disc brakes on all wheels. Innovative electro-hydraulic power steering ensured better handling and fuel-efficiency.

The petrol version 2.0 EcoBoost MT was powerful, dynamic and quite fuel-efficient. Its 200 hp 4-cylinder 16-valve engine produced the torque of 300 N⋅m at a wide range of engine speeds, from 1,750 to 4,500 rpm. This allowed the engine to demonstrate excellent traction in various operation modes. Turbocharging and direct fuel injection improved fuel efficiency and vehicle dynamics. 0 to 100 km/h time was only 7.9 seconds, while the top speed of the version reached 233 km/h. Fuel consumption was rather low: 10.4 litres in the urban cycle, 7.6 litres – in the combined cycle, 6 litres – in the extra-urban cycle. The loading capacity of this version was 698 kg.

Trim levels of Mondeo Mk4 BA7

A vast selection of trim levels was offered for these cars: Edge, Zetec, Ghia, Titanium, Ambiente, Premium and others.

The top trim level of the estate, Titanium, featured high comfort level and numerous innovations. The incline- and reach-adjustable steering wheel was trimmed with leather. Audio system control buttons were mounted on it. The seats had an electric adjustment function, and not only by height: the lumbar support was adjustable too. Dual-zone climate control maintained the comfortable temperature inside the car. Windows and mirrors were heated to ensure excellent visibility in any weather.
