The technical specifications of the Audi Q7 4L
The length of the Audi Q7 4L crossover was 5,086 mm, its width was 1,983 and the height was 1,729 mm. The capacity of the luggage compartment depending on the number and configuration of the seats might vary from 330 to 2,035 l. The clearance was 205 mm. The basic trim of the car could have five or seven seats. The additional rear row was intended for two passengers up to 160 cm high. Moreover, instead of the three rear seats of the first row, it was possible to install two separate seats with a central console, thus, turning the crossover into a 4- or 6-seater. The suspension of the car was independent which made it slightly difficult for the car to drive off-road. Both axles were fitted with ventilated brake discs.
Main versions
There were 19 versions of the crossover made during the years of the production: 6 diesel, 4 petrol before the facelift of 2009; 5 diesel and 4 petrol after it. One of the most popular versions was diesel 3.0 TDI tiptronic quattro which was characterised by balanced technical characteristics.
It was equipped with a 245 hp engine with the torque of 550 Н⋅м which was achieved at 1,750- 2,750 RPM. Due to that, the car featured good dynamics and excellent traction. The vehicle accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and its carrying capacity could be 650 kg.
The fuel consumption was low for a crossover: only 8.6 l per 100 km in urban driving mode, 7.4 in the mixed cycle and 6.7 l driving on a highway. Apart from the Common Rail injection system, the significant fuel economy was achieved with the help of the Start/Stop system, 8-speed automatic transmission and regenerative braking system.
The trim packages of the Audi Q7 4L
The crossover in the basic trim could boast of a wide range of equipment. The Pro Line and Pro Line + packages which were available on the market in some countries had even more options.
As a rule, the vehicle was fitted with 6 airbags, adaptive cruise control with the distance control function, air suspension with automatic height adjustment, lane departure warning system and blind spot monitor, adaptive headlights, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, the MMI multi-media system with GPS-navigation, built-in phone with SAP profile and Bluetooth for remote communication fitted with the owner’s SIM card.
