Replacement of the engine hood
The hood can be replaced both by service station experts, and with your own hands. You will need to perform the following steps:
- Lift the hood lid and disconnect the wire from the battery negative terminal.
- Clean the hinges from rust and dirt using special substance and a brush.
- Remove the locking pin and disconnect the wire, then demount the electronic lock.
- Unscrew bolts and take the damaged part off the hinges.
- Prime and color mounting spots.
- Install a lock on a new component, and then mount it by connecting body holes and hinges with bolts.
- Connect the wire to the battery negative terminal.
