Blower motor for the top car models
Blower motor for my car: your guide to buying heater blower motor online
The interior blower is an important part of the ventilation. With the fan the air is transported into the interior or in motion. Even for the air conditioning or heating, the interior blower is very important, because the cooled or heated air can be distributed faster with the interior blower. The driver can control the power of the interior blower. Due to the fact that at high power levels of noise is very high, for continuous operation is mainly the lower level.
If the interior blower is defective, this may affect on different car parts. A complete loss of function, however, can have many causes. This is also may be connected with the occasional misfire or other malfunction. A rattling noise during operation may indicate a bearing failure. But sometimes some problems happen from a foreign body in the air. This can be removed often with compressed air. Make a diagnosis is not easy. However, if dismantle the fan is quite difficult, you first need an accurate diagnosis. It is enough sometimes to read the controller and evaluate the error code in new vehicles.
A functioning interior blower is important for providing of comfort in a vehicle. Therefore, a repair should not be adjourned. A new interior blower is not expensive and can be installed by an experienced car owner. The replacement part can be conveniently purchased in our store, and the repair in a workshop is not expensive. We can help you also to find an air filter, a hood, a stub axle, a steering filter, a clamp arm, a spoiler, an oil filter, and many other car parts. If you will become our consumer, you can save on maintenance and repair of your car a lot of money.
How to detect the passenger compartment fan faults
First, check wiring faults. They are often caused by the blown fuse. The failure of contacts of the fuse and relay box is quite common. In order to detect this damage, move the wires coming to the unit. If the engine starts working after that, inspect the contacts.
Another reason why the fan is not operating may be damaged fan speed switch. To check that the switch is not faulty, connect an improvised indicator lamp. For this purpose, take a 12 V bulb, and solder two wires to its base. Then disassemble the center console to get access to the back side of the switch. After that, ground the negative wire to the vehicle chassis, and, without starting the engine, switch the ignition on. Connect the other wire, in succession, to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd connection terminals, simultaneously switching the fan speed. If the switch operates correctly, the lamp will light. If the lamp does not light, the wire should be connected to the positive terminal or to any positive contact. If the lamp still does not light, the wiring is faulty, or the fuse is blown.
You may notice that the Blower motor may need diagnostics, by the following signs:
- the heater is only activated under certain conditions (for example, when the engine is warmed up);
- the heater switch does not work properly;
- the heater fan works only at full speed;
- the heater does not react to switching on.
The reasons of the Heater motor malfunction
Operation of the Heater fan motor may be influenced by several factors. External factors include component exposure to moisture, which will inevitably result in oxidation of contacts. Internal factors are electric circuit problems, when increased voltage or short-circuited wiring result in a blown fuse, and thus in the fan failure. The same result is produced by failure of the ignition resistor or relay. The reason for cracks and chips are intensive mechanical impacts and excessive loads.
Regularly perform vehicle inspection: this will prolong the service life of its main units and components.
Repairing the Interior blower
In many cases, normal operation of the passenger compartment fan is restored by replacing the fuse, or eliminating a short circuit. Such works require the use of a special repair bench at a service station. Another common reason of improper operation of the fan is failure of the ignition relay. In this case, the component is replaced. Engine faults may also affect operation of the component. If the fan electric motor is powered, but the unit operation is unstable, there may be several reasons of the failure and ways of eliminating it. Fan operation failures may be caused by poor contact in the fan sensor terminals, sticking brushes of the motor, or burnt out motor. While the first two faults are fairly easily eliminated, in the latter case the motor is to be replaced.
