Volvo V50 MW estate car (2003‒2012) length was 4,514 mm, its width was 1,770 mm, and the height was 1,452 mm. The road clearance was 135 mm. Depending on the configuration of the rear seats, the volume of the luggage compartment could be 417 to 1,307 l. After restyling in 2007, the vehicle dimensions changed a little: its length and height became 4,522 mm and 1,457 mm, respectively. In the list of modifications, 2.0 Flexi-Fuel is of special interest. Both gasoline and bio-ethanol could be used as fuel in this vehicle. Fuel consumption in urban cycle was 9.2 liters, in combined cycle — 7.1 l, and in the highway mode - 5.8 l. Acceleration to 100 km/h took 9.6 seconds, and the top speed reached 210 km/h. Thanks to the turbocharger and the Multipoint fuel injection system, the engine reached the power of 140 hp, and maximum torque of 185 Nm was achieved at 4,500 rpm. The payload of the modification was 508 kg.
Trim levels of V50 MW
The Volvo V50 MW estate was offered in various trim levels — Summum, Sport, Momentum, Kinetic, Elan, Elite, Exclusive, Business Pro Edition, R-Design, and Advantage.
In the richest configuration, Summum, the vehicle had electric power steering, a three-spokes steering wheel, heated power mirrors with auto-folding function, climate control, heating and adjustment of front seats, a trip computer, an audio system with Bluetooth connection, airbags and curtain airbags, cruise control, rain and parking sensors, stability and traction control. The interior was trimmed with brushed aluminum inserts. Offered at additional charge were: BLIS blind spot control system, 12 speakers, an automatic self-leveling system Nivomat, which ensured the car’s optimal riding height regardless of the load, 17-inch alloy wheels with low profile tires, and leather interior upholstery.
