Technical specifications of Toyota Prius III (XW30)
The length of the liftback body was 4,480 mm, the width – 1,740 mm, the height – 1,490 mm. The road clearance was 135 mm. The luggage compartment volume was 445 litres. The maximum loading capacity of the car was 460 kg.
Main versions
2 front-wheel driven hybrid versions of the Toyota Prius III (2009−2015) were available. They could run both on fuel and electric power. All the cars had 3 drive modes: EV - at low speeds, using the electromotor only; Eco - with as efficient liquid fuel consumption as possible, and Power - a high performance mode.
The 1.8 CVT Plug-in Hybrid version was the most popular and efficient. It was equipped with a 81 hp electromotor and a 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line petrol engine. The latter had a multipoint fuel injection system and was characterized by 134 hp output. The maximum torque was 142 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Fuel consumption per 100 km was 4.5 litres of fuel in urban cycle, 2.1 litres in extra-urban cycle. The maximum speed of the car was 180 km/h. It could accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds.
Trim levels of Prius III (XW30)
All the cars had factory-installed alloy wheel rims, an ABS and a traction control system, front and side airbags. The cars were equipped with power heated mirrors and front power windows. Also, there were fog lights, an air conditioner and parking sensors.
There were several trim levels of the Prius III (XW30) liftback. Particularly, customers could choose Active, Comfort, Excel, Business, Dynamic Business, Executive Business, Aspiration, Business Edition Plus. The Excel trim included leather heated seats and a satellite navigation system.
