Technical characteristics of Toyota Avensis II (T25) estate car
When the production has first begun, the vehicle’s body length, width and height were 4700 mm, 1760 mm and 1525 mm, respectively. Road clearance was 150 mm. Maximum loading capacity reached 275 kg. The luggage compartment capacity was 520 litres, 1500 litres – with the rear seats folded.
After the restyling, the body length increased by 15 mm, road clearance – by 5 mm. The capacity of the luggage compartment reduced to 450 litres. The other parameters didn’t change.
Main versions
11 front-wheel-drive versions of Toyota Avensis II (T25) estate cars were offered. 6 of them were petrol and 5 – diesel.
2.2 D MT version was characterized by excellent dynamics and efficient fuel consumption. It had a 4-cylinder 16-valve in-line diesel engine with a turbocharger and direct fuel injection. This power unit outputted 175 hp and reached the max torque of 400 N·m at 3600 rpm. Top speed of the car was 220 km/h and it accelerated to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. Fuel consumption figures per 100 km were: 6 litres in the urban cycle, 4 litres – in the extra-urban cycle, 5 litres – in the combined cycle.
Trim levels of Toyota Avensis II (T25) estate car
The cars were available in a few trim levels: T2, T3-S, T3-X, T4, T Spirit, T180, TR, Color Collection, Terra, Aura, Strata, Luna, Sol. Standard equipment of all Avensis II (2003–2009) estate cars included ABS, front and side airbags, audio system with CD support. The front windows were electric, the side mirrors – electrically-adjustable. This car had roof bars.
In addition to everything mentioned above, the extended trim level, T180, included cruise control, rear electric windows, traction control system. Front fog lights, alloy wheel rims were also present. Side mirrors were heated. Also, the car had a satellite navigation system and CD-changer. Some interior elements were trimmed with leather.
