Technical specifications of Suzuki Wagon R+ (MM)
Suzuki Wagon R+ (MM) multi-purpose vehicles were 3500 mm long, 1600 mm wide and 1700 high. Depending on the version, the car could seat 4 or 5 people. Volume of the luggage compartment was 300 litres. It could be increased up to 1250 litres with the rear seats folded. Road clearance was 150 mm. The body was characterized by resistance to corrosion. It had 5 doors. The rear door was lifting.
The front vehicle suspension was independent, the rear one – dependent. Large door apertures and low sills allowed to get in and out easily. Brake discs were installed on the front wheels only.
Main versions
More than 10 versions of Suzuki Wagon R+ (MM) were produced during the manufacturing period. The cars had petrol and diesel power units. They could have front- or four-wheel drive. 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions were available.
1.3 Diesel MT version was the most fuel efficient. It was equipped with 4-cylinder 16-valve engine with turbocharger, intercooler and Common Rail fuel injection system. Engine output equaled 69 hp. Maximum torque of 170 N⋅m was reached at 1750 rpm. The car accelerated to 100 km/h in 15 seconds. Its top speed was 155 km/h. Maximum loading capacity was 445 kg. Fuel consumption per 100 km was 4.4 litres in the extra-urban cycle, 5.2 litres in the combined cycle, 6.6 litres in the urban cycle. This version had front-wheel drive.
Trim levels of Wagon R+ (MM)
Suzuki Wagon R+ (MM) multi-purpose vehicles were offered in the following trim levels: GA, GL, GLX. The cars of limited series – First Edition, Special, Season – had their own equipment.
GLX trim included central locking system, front power windows, power steering, front and side airbags, three-point safety belts for all seats. Anti-lock braking system with brakeforce distribution, power side mirrors, roof rails were factory-installed. Air-conditioning was available optionally.
