Seat Leon I (1M, 1M1) technical specifications
Seat Leon I (1M, 1M1) cars were 4184 mm long, 1742 mm wide and 1457 mm high. They could seat five people. The boot capacity varied from 340–656 litres and there was also a spare wheel well. Due to an enlarged fuel tank, sports versions had a smaller boot capacity of 270 litres.
The front suspension was independent, the rear suspension semi-independent. Both were adapted to sports driving, ensuring excellent handling and steerability.
Ventilated brake discs were installed on the vehicle front axle and solid brake discs on the rear. The body had low drag coefficient of 0.32. This reduced fuel consumption reduction and increased acoustic comfort.
