Renault Kangoo II Express (FW0/1) cars are produced with several variants of wheelbase length: 2313 mm, 2679 mm and 3081 mm. The length of the body is 3898 mm, 4213 mm and 4666 mm, and height – 1812 mm, 1844 mm and 1836 mm, respectively. The capacity of the cargo compartment varies between 2.3 and 4.6 m3. Width is the same for all cars and equals 1829 mm. The vans with a short wheelbase are called Compact, with a long one – Maxi. The body can have 3, 4 or 5 doors.
The cargo compartment can be separated from the cabin with a mesh swivelling or solid fixed bulkhead. The front seat back can be folded, which is very convenient for transporting long objects. Moreover, the car has a special sliding roof flap, which allows storing oversized cargo vertically.
Road clearance of these cars is high, which improves their off-road performance. Depending on the version, it can be from 158 to 211 mm.
Main versions
As of today, about 20 versions of Renault Kangoo II Express (FW0/1) (2008–present) were released. Among them, there are diesel, petrol, LPG and electric vehicles. All of them are front-wheel-drive.
The diesel version 1.5 dCi 110 EDC is one of the most fuel-efficient. It is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, developed by the French firm in collaboration with Nissan company, turbocharger from the renowned American manufacturer Borg-Warner, and direct fuel injection system, made by the German manufacturer Siemens and Continental. All power units are feature high reliability and efficiency. The engine develops 110 hp. Its max torque equals 260 N⋅m. Fuel consumption is only 4.4 litres per 100 km in the combined cycle, mostly due to the Stop&Start system.
Trim levels of Kangoo II Express (FW0/1)
The vans have rich equipment. Cruise control, power windows, heated side mirrors, height-adjustable driver seat, front airbags, air conditioner, traction control, and anti-lock braking system are all factory-installed. R-Link multimedia system with a 7-inch screen and TomTom navigation system are optionally available.
