The Porsche Cayenne (955): specifications
Depending on the version, the length of the body varied between 4782 and 4786 mm. The width was 1,928, and the height was 1,699 mm. The ride height was 217 mm. The luggage compartment volume was 540 l and could be increased up to 1,770 l with the rear seats folded.
Efficient braking was ensured by braking system fitted with ventilated brake discs on both axles, 6-cylinder front calipers and 4-cylinder rear ones. The vehicle had independent suspensions: front – of the double wishbone type, rear – of the multi-link type. Turbo and Turbo S versions were equipped with an air suspension and due to that, the ride height increased up to 273 mm.
Main versions
The manufacturer offered over 15 all-wheel-drive versions of the Porsche Cayenne 955 (2002–2010). They all ran on petrol except for just one diesel model.
One of the most popular models was a petrol 3.2 MT version. It had a 24-valve V6 engine with 250 hp output. The maximum torque was 310 N⋅m at 2,500 rpm. The maximum speed of the crossover reached 214 kph. The vehicle accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 9.1 seconds. The fuel consumption of the car was 17.8 l in the urban cycle, 10.6 l in the extra-urban cycle and 13.2 l in the combined cycle.
Cayenne (955): trim levels
Apart from the base trim, there were the following extended ones: S, GTS, Turbo S, Turbo. All Porsche Cayenne crossovers (955) had factory-installed front fog lights, front and side airbags, car alarm, alloy wheels, traction control system. The interior was trimmed with leather. There were power windows, power front seats and side mirrors. The steering column was depth- and tilt-adjustable.
The extended trim Turbo included climate control and cruise control, headlight washers, parking sensors, a sat nav. There were heated front sports seats. A phone and roof rack were available for an extra charge.
